It Starts by Humbling Ourselves
Many times in the new testament Christ talks about the need to "humble ourselves." We've often heard the phrase that "pride comes before a fall" and we have seen this play out many times. In the christian's life, pride is a huge hurdle that keeps us from growing our faith and serving the Lord with ALL of our heart. Take time today and evaluate your own life and ask God to remove all pride you have built up inside. Many times we are prideful and do not even know it. Ask God to show you the areas of your life that need humbling.
Always remember the verse from Philippians 2:8, "And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
If Jesus humbled himself even to his death, surely we can reflect on that and be inspired to do the same.
